Fun fact
MC stands for Multi-Contact and 4 for the 4 mm contact pin. It became the de facto world standard so quickly that "MC4" now means any solar plug.

Never unplug under load: DC arcs. Use the MC4 unlocking tool and disconnect at the inverter or isolator first.
