Privacy Policy
Last updated: [add date before publishing]
This policy explains what information Find Your Cable ("we", "us") collects when you use findyourcable.com, and how we use it. Find Your Cable is a personal project operated by Gianluca Simonelli. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@findyourcable.com.
Information we collect
- Contact form. When you write to us, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send, so we can reply and, where relevant, add your suggestion to the catalogue.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, in aggregate. This collects anonymous information such as pages visited, device type, browser and approximate location. It relies on cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and follow up on suggestions and corrections.
- To measure and improve the site and decide which connectors to document next.
Affiliate links
Some "where to buy" links point to online retailers (such as Amazon, Thomann and Reichelt) and are affiliate links. If you click them and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those retailers may set their own cookies and process your data under their own privacy policies once you leave our site.
Third parties
We rely on a few trusted services: Google Analytics (usage measurement), our form provider (to deliver contact messages), and our hosting provider. Each processes limited data on our behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@findyourcable.com.
Data retention
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.
Changes
We may update this policy as the project grows. The latest version will always live on this page.
